A Firm Built on Practical Solutions
Since our founding on 11 December 2009, Twikirize & Co. Advocates has grown from a small consultancy into a medium-sized firm with offices in Kampala, Kabale, and Rukungiri. What has stayed constant over that time is the approach we started with: diagnosing a client's legal issue properly, then working with them, not just for them, to resolve it. That principle has shaped every part of how the firm has grown, from the practice areas we have taken on to the way we structure client relationships.
Growing Alongside Our Clients
Much of our growth has followed the needs of the clients we serve. Our arbitration and mediation practice grew out of a recognition that Uganda's courts carry a significant backlog and that commercial clients needed a faster, more predictable path to resolution. Our Resettlement Action Plan practice developed because public-private-partnership infrastructure projects, particularly hydro power dam construction, needed advocates who understood both the law and the realities of communities affected by land acquisition. In each case, the firm expanded its expertise because clients needed it, not because it looked good on a brochure.
Sixteen Years, and Counting
Today the firm advises clients across arbitration, corporate and commercial law, land conveyancing, litigation, debt recovery, employment law, and more, with a team of advocates and associates who bring a genuine team approach to every client assignment. Sixteen years in, we remain guided by the same values we started with: respect and integrity in every dealing, transparency and accountability to our clients, and a commitment to delivering well-researched, results-oriented legal solutions.
